Why we’re here:
Busy careers. Growing families. Full schedules. Yet beneath the surface many of us carry loneliness, anxiety, disappointment, broken relationships, or questions we’'ve never felt safe enough to ask. Some of us have quietly concluded that Christianity has little left to offer.
Many of us have left our churches in recent years. Some see this as a problem, but really it is a symptom of a larger problem. Many of us are exhausted from the pressures and distractions of life, from feeling disconnected from those we live near, even from guilt and shame. And our churches didn’t make us feel any different.
We believe Jesus Christ is still good news. Not because He promises an easy life, but because in Him we find forgiveness, hope, truth, purpose, and a community where we no longer have to pretend. His invitation is as compelling today as it has always been: "Come to me.”
A new Christian community taking shape in Aurora
We believe the beauty of Jesus changes everything. Our desire is simple: to know Christ more deeply, to make Him known, and to become the kind of community where His grace is seen in ordinary life. We are gathering around God's Word, sharing meals, asking honest questions, praying together, and learning what it means to follow Jesus as His disciples.
Whether you've followed Christ for many years, are returning after time away, or aren't sure what you believe, you're welcome to come and see.
Our Vision:
We long to become the kind of church where people increasingly see what Jesus is really like through His own words, and through the way His people worship, love one another, welcome strangers, serve their neighbors, and live ordinary lives transformed by extraordinary grace.
What we’re becoming:
Every church has a beginning. Ours begins relationally.
We are gathering in homes and around tables. We are opening the Scriptures together, praying together, sharing meals, singing, serving our neighbors, and learning to follow Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of everyday life. We believe some of the most significant moments of ministry happen not only in worship services, but around dinner tables, in living rooms, and in conversations where people can bring honest questions and discover the grace of God together.
We hope Christ Community becomes a church where faith grows deeply, friendships flourish, children are treasured, neighbors are welcomed, and the beauty of Jesus becomes increasingly visible throughout the communities God has called us to serve.
Meet Paul and Meaghan:
More than anything, Meaghan and Paul want people to know Jesus. For more than two decades they have been teaching the Bible, walking with people through life, planting churches, and helping believers grow as disciples of Christ. They believe some of the most significant moments of ministry happen around dinner tables, in living rooms, and in ordinary conversations where people can ask honest questions and encounter the grace of God.
Paul holds graduate degrees in theology and counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
Paul and his wife, Meaghan, are raising five children and are delighted to call Aurora home. Together they are praying that Christ Community would become a church where the beauty of Jesus is made visible throughout the city.
